9/11 TAP Petitioners -- More good news!

The Lawyers Committee for 9-11 Inquiry, a 501(c)(3) public interest law firm upstart, announced Attorney Mick Harrison, of Bloomington, IN, began his full-time position as Executive Director, effective July 1, 2017.

The hiring of Mr. Harrison was made possible by a generous donor.

Jane Clark, Esq., of Grand Prairie, Texas, Chair of the Committee, announcing the signing of a contract with Mr. Harrison, said, “We are fortunate to have an attorney of Mick Harrison’s experience, skills, and dedication to lead us in what may be the legal battle of the century.”

Ed Asner, star of the famous television series “Lou Grant” and a recent addition to the Lawyers Committee Board, commented, “This development is a milestone in America’s struggle to demand the full story about the event upon which the uncontrollable, unquestioned War on Terror, the Surveillance State, and America’s costly military involvement in the Middle East is based.”

According to Attorney Harrison, “Our planned legal campaign has the potential to break new ground in the history of 9/11-related litigation. We expect to make significant progress via carefully designed legal strategies to promote both transparency and accountability regarding the tragic events of 9/11. Our immediate objective is to raise $10,000 to cover the expenses of litigation currently underway, but we still need to hire additional staff to take on more ambitious projects. We need the support of the legal profession and of all citizens who believe that the government’s and the media’s evasiveness about the unanswered questions surrounding 9/11 is unacceptable, and that the issue remains relevant to many of the national and international challenges facing us today. ”

Attorney Harrison is currently engaged in a federal court appeal, on behalf of Board Member David Cole of the Lawyers’ Committee, of the failure of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to release records under the Freedom of Information Act regarding government studies of the collapse of three WTC buildings on 9/11.

PERSONAL NOTE
Having met Mr. Harrison a month+ ago, his brilliance, ethics, knowledge, experience and determination are just a few
qualities of this remarkable gent! Since the early 1990s, he has won 90 percent of his whistle-blower defense cases.
So far out of five 9/11 FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) cases, it's five (5) wins for us and none (0) for the gov't.
