Mike Cook is hopeful that his congressman may spread the information on 9/11 Truth in the halls of power.

Longtime 9/11 activist and AE911Truth volunteer Mike Cook has all the savvy and soft-sell subtlety of a master marketer when he brings up the subject of controlled demolition to those who are unfamiliar with what really happened at the World Trade Center. He knows that hitting people over the head with the evidence will not open any minds to the facts.
Cook applied the wisdom he has gleaned from years of activism when he met his congressman at a gathering earlier this year.
Thomas Massie is a second-term member of the US House of Representatives for Kentucky's 4th congressional district. Massie frequently invites constituents to meetings he calls Coffee with Your Congressman, which he conducts in every county in his district. During these events, the congressman gives a short talk, which is followed by a question and answer session.
It was at the end of one of these sessions that Cook presented Massie with an assortment of AE911Truth information — two copies of the DVD 9/11: Explosive Evidence—Experts Speak Out, a Meet the Experts companion DVD, and two copies of the booklet Beyond Misinformation: The Science Behind the Destruction of World Trade Center Buildings 1, 2, and 7. They shook hands and the representative took the materials — no surprise to Cook, who describes Massie as “a straight shooter” . . . “a rare bird” and . . . “an honest, good fellow in the halls of Congress.”
Cook is, if nothing else, realistic: He doesn't believe that Massie will run to the news media with the information, though he's hopeful the congressman may “spread the information within the halls of power.” This is why, according to Cook, it's important to raise awareness of the 9/11 controlled demolition evidence to people in high positions — and why it's imperative that activists are not confrontational when approaching these officials. “Acting confrontational is not an asset to this cause,” he observes. “It's a liability.” Expressing the qualities of self-control, tolerance, patience is the most effective ways to “reach” one's leaders — or anyone else, for that matter.

Reflecting on the mission of AE911Truth, Cook says that the truth about what happened to the three towers on 9/11 will not remain a mystery for as long other questionable incidents in US history have. Why does he think that? Because he sees the movement keep growing. Every day more and more people are becoming aware and involved. As citizens continue to leave behind the mainstream media and instead rely on independent news outlets, one day the truth is bound to be revealed, Cook asserts.
Some of the hardest people to reach, Cook has noticed, are firefighters and members of the Armed Services. Cook faces the former's resistance each year that he and fellow activists attend — and respectfully hand out literature at — a memorial service that his town holds for the 343 firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11. Surprisingly, after the last service was conducted, the wives of firefighters admitted they were “concerned about their husbands' safety.” After all, if Building 7 could really have been leveled by office fires, then there is a potential problem with every office building in the country. For, according to the official story presented by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), every steel-framed building that has a fire could be demolished in mere seconds. To believe the NIST report is to fear that a dire hazard awaits firefighters battling blazes in future high-rise fires.
As for members of the military, both current and retired, Cook says they typically get angry when they see the 9/11 bumper stickers on his vehicles or the 9/11 T-shirts he wears. Finally, though, he was rewarded when a former Marine sergeant, to whom Cook had given 9/11 Truth information five years ago, admitted this year that Cook was right about WTC 7.
Such gratifying results are why “9/11 Truth activists need to be very aware, very conscious, considerate and compassionate when doing outreach,” declares Cook. “They need to realize that this is incredibly disturbing information for many people, especially those committed to 'the system,' like veterans.”
Thanks to the efforts of Mike Cook and others of his ilk, more Americans are being educated about the science behind the WTC's destruction. Those open to the truth are drawn in not by bells and whistles and certainly not by angry confrontations, but by being treated with understanding and patience and by engaging in rational dialogue about the laws of physics — set-in-cement laws that could not have been violated in downtown Manhattan that tragic day.
