Stop the War is supporting this important protest tomorrow.
Even now the European Union is failing abysmally to respond to the catastrophe in the Mediterranean. Serious emergency and resettlement measures are needed rather than a military and police operation.
The West's governments need to recognise too, that it is more than anything their foreign wars that have created the conditions driving the mass exodus in the first place.
We must protest now to demand that the EU institutes an emergency plan. But we must also redouble our efforts to end a foreign policy that is causing mayhem and misery across vast swathes of the globe.
